Sat-nav suction cups are a dead giveaway
Leaving mounts, suction cup marks on windows or cables on view could give away that you use a sat nav, smartphone or another device in your car.
Even if they can't see the device an opportunistic thief might still break in to see if it’s stored in the car, out of sight.
Stay safe, hide any electrical items and leave no clues.
Be fraud smart
Sometimes what appears to be an innocent game posted on social media could be criminals looking to gain access to your personal information.
Seemingly harmless questions can provide details that can assist them in stealing your identity.
For example:
- What is your film star name?
- First Pet?
- Mother’s Maiden Name?
- Your first car?
- Describe the city you were born in with a clue? (revealing your town of birth).
All of these are potentially answers to bank account security questions.
