Crime prevention advice
Street crime is often opportunistic.
Never leave a mobile, any other device, wallet or purse on the table of an outdoor café, pub or restaurant – thieves can grab a phone from a table in seconds.

Be fraud smart
Be aware of passport service scams
You may have seen in the media there are potential long lead times with passports this summer.
Scammers are looking to take advantage of this and are offering fake fast track passport services claiming for a fee they can make sure you get it on time for your holiday.
They might even be offering a great holiday deal with the promise of a quick passport renewal thrown in.
Stay scam savvy by reading online reviews from reputable sources before booking any holidays and when renewing a passport, only use the government's official website.
